The Bulldogs opened up their tennis season with a promising start, winning both of their home matches for an overall 2-1 record. But the team hit a roadblock right after, suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Panthers.

The Brooklyn College women’s tennis team struggled against the Purchase College Panthers, losing 1-8 on Tuesday afternoon at Purchase, NY.

The Panthers’ Caroline Haldeman-Emmerling defeated BC’s Rosa Askanov in the first singles match by walkover, but the Bulldogs managed to take the next one when Georgeen Belrose defeated Catherine Pasquale 6-2, 6-2.
