CITY COLLEGE–For the past few years, Mexican grocery store, La Mexicana Hidalguense, has been an instrumental part of East New York.
Since opening in 2020, it has continuously provided the neighborhood with uniquely Mexican products and crafts, including Mexican sweet bread, quesadillas and piñatas.
The store owners have such a loyal customer base that they even added a food cart to assist with increased demand.
