JOHN JAY COLLEGE–The John Jay women’s soccer team beat City College 3-0 in the championship on Nov. 8, winning their fifth soccer title in six years.
The season started late August with their first game against SUNY Old Westbury, with six wins, two ties, and one loss throughout the last three months. The team played eight home games and nine away games.
For the second straight season and fifth time in program history, the soccer team stands at the top of the CUNY Athletic Conference as they hold the regular season title.
The team is the number one seed in the 2025 CUNYAC championship, meaning the soccer team is the top ranked team in their conference.
Defender Sofia Soler, No. 10 on the team is grateful to have made it to the championship.
“I feel blessed that my team and I made it to the CUNYAC championship,” said Soler. “ We put in so much work both individually and as a team.”
