While sharing the fears and perseverance of undocumented people, Madrid also contextualizes their contributions to the United States’ economy and society.
“It sounds insane that people in power seriously believe that deportations are the solution to such a complex global issue,” said Madrid in this 18-minute podcast. “Certainly there is not a single solution for the diversity of underlying situations that force a person to leave their countries, to leave their families, to leave their friends.”
