No Injuries in Campus Fire

BROOKLYN COLLEGE — Two faint but noticeable plumes of smoke emerged on campus near the West End Building (WEB) on Brooklyn College last Thursday at around 6:30 pm—a trailer had caught on fire.

According to Assistant Vice President for Facilities Francis X. Fitzgerald, the Dormitory Authority State of NY (DASNY) trailer caught on fire, though the cause is still not yet confirmed. All BC students got an alert Thursday evening saying the WEB and West Gate entrances were closed while the FDNY worked to put out the fire, but were reopened shortly after.

Fitzgerald confirmed that no one was hurt and the trailer was empty.
