LEHMAN COLLEGE–Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lehman College students had a multitude of food options. Seating up to 800 students, The Underground Lounge offered salads, sandwiches, pizzas, Asian cuisines and a variety of other foods, according to the college’s website. The Carman Cafe in Carman Hall allowed students to buy pastries and coffee.
But now that students are returning to campus two years later, they are finding fewer choices to satisfy their appetite. Although there is the Farmer’s Fridge vending machine, The Little Hot Dog Wagon and The World Cup at Harmony Cafe, students are experiencing less food and seating, high prices and long lines.
