‘Appearances Can Be Deceiving’ Presents Kahlo’s Style and Art

BARUCH COLLEGE–The Brooklyn Museum is hosting a new exhibit called Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving, which honors the life and works of the famous Mexican artist. The exhibit will be open to visitors until May 12, in the Robert E. Blum Gallery on the first floor.

Kahlo is well-known for her self-portraits, her unibrow that was seen as a bold approach to femininity and the colorful, traditional clothing she wore that matched the ribbons and flowers in her hair.
