CSI Opens Men’s Center

COLLEGE OF STATEN ISLAND–CSI students, especially men, can look forward to a new campus resource dedicated to improving their academic experience. The Men’s Center is officially open and ready to assist.

While students have heard about and visited the Women’s Center and LGBTQ Center on campus, some do not know about the recently formed Men’s Center, which aims to empower historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students and boost their graduation rates.

The director, Dr. John Meche, is excited to get things running. He explained how this creation was a joint effort between CSI’s Campus Center, the college’s president and vice president, and the CSI branch of CUNY’s Black Male Initiative.
